Sequins and Polka Dots
Hello everyone!
The first week of school is over! I took a photo of my outfit yesterday, only to forget to make a post! It's been quite hectic for me as I ease myself back into the life of a college student. I have 8am classes on Tuesday/Thursdays, and I am taking 18 hours. I hope to make another 4.0, so posts might become a little sparse, but do bare with me! I hope everyone had a wonderful week, and I do hope that you enjoy your weekend!

Sushi & Sprinkles
Hello everyone!
Today my friends and I decided to go try out this sushi restaurant called Tokyo One in Dallas. For the price, I feel like the food should have been a lot better, but I think my favorite part of today was going to Sprinkles Cupcakes. They never disappoint. Red velvet is my favorite flavor.
I can't believe I start another semester of college tomorrow. Wish me luck!!

Dallas Arts District
My outfit running around Dallas today! |
Jonmichael |
Today, I went to Dallas with a couple of my friends, Justin and Jonmichael. We strolled through a few antique stores, (White Elephant, Lula B's West, and Antiques and Architecture to be exact!) visited Dallas Contemporary, (which is displaying the works of Rob Pruitt, David Jablonowski and Failure) walked around the Dallas Arts District, and then grabbed a bite to eat at Pho Colonial. It's a really cute restaurant that stays true to the Vietnamese Cuisine. They have everything from Ban Mi, which is a french baguette sandwich, to rice plates, pho, spring rolls, and bubble tea. If you are ever in the area, you should definitely drop in and check it out!
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Lipstick Quick-e
Hello lovelies! So yesterday I accompanied my mother as she shopped for the perfect pair of jeans, and I moseyed along to the makeup section of Macy's. Dawn, the very nice sales rep at the Chanel counter, convinced me into trying on a matte lipstick, and I fell in love. I feel like it's the perfect shade for spring/summer. It's called Rouge Allure Velvet #32 Although it photographs red, the color, when I apply it to my lips, is more of a coral than a red. I love it because although it's a matte lipstick, it has a moisturizer built in (a definite plus for those of us with lips that dry easily!) Because I like the more defined lip, I bought the matching lipliner #38 too. I've never seen a lipliner stick with a little brush at the end. It's to blend in the line to make it less defined, or you can even actually use it to brush on the lipstick color itself. Neat right? It also came with a cute little sharpener! I definitely believe in using a brush to apply lipstick. To me, you get a lot more precision and control with the color to make it lighter or darker as you please.
That concludes my first makeup post!

Breakfast for Champions
Brunch at Our Place |
So my internet has still been acting weird! I'll just give a quick update of yesterday. Will and I started off the day with some brunch at Our Place. If you haven't been, it's a family owned restaurant with good southern home cookin'! The service is great, the food is tasty, and I definitely recommend it.
After brunch, my friend, Derek, had a little get together at his house. It was basically a mini party consisting of ridiculous brain teasers, games, and good company!
